Maternal Childhood Trauma May Increase Risk of Preterm Birth
Molly Easterlin, MD, MS, a neonatologist in Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Fetal and Neonatal Institute, found that maternal childhood trauma such as physical abuse, emotional abuse, and witnessing parental interpersonal violence, may increase risk of preterm birth.
